Why Cher Horowitz Would Be the Ultimate ReSuit User

Earlier this year, we did a little daydreaming about what it would be like if Carrie Bradshaw was a ReSuit user. Well, to make a long story short, we determined that it would be incredible and we would probably need to develop a waitlist feature for all of the borrowers itching to get their hands on one of her enviable designer pieces. We had so much fun fantasizing about Carrie we just knew we had to repeat the exercise with another one of our 90s fashion idols. So, here it is our official dissertation outlining why we think Cher Horowitz of Clueless would be the ultimate ReSuit User. Let’s dive in!

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

She Has A Wardrobe Full of Pieces From Like, Totally Important Designers

Who could forget the opening scene of Clueless? Arguably, one of the most iconic fashion movie moments of all-time. Most 90s kids remember watching with envy as Cher gets ready for her day using her wardrobe software to select the perfect outfit, none other than the eye-catching yellow plaid set. A look that would inspire many Halloween looks for years to come.

Cher doesn’t just have a great wardrobe, she lives, breathes and respects fashion. Even going so far as to refuse to lay down on the ground in her Alaïa outfit while she gets mugged for her cellphone protesting that her dress was made by “like, a totally, important designer.” Needless to say, Cher would have tons of great listing options for ReSuit and, we bet, with the resurgence of 90s fashion, users would love to take a Horowitz-owned piece out for a spin.

She Was ReSuiting Before ReSuit Existed

We’ve established that Cher would have no shortage of listings for the ReSuit app but, would she be willing to share her pieces with us? We definitely think so. Why? We know that Cher loves to share. No pun intended. When new girl, Tai, struggles to fit in at their Beverly Hills high school, Cher is the first one to step in with a helping hand in the form of a makeover complete with some loans from Cher’s very-own closet. In short, Cher has been ReSuiting since before ReSuit existed.

She Has A Heart of Gold

We know that Cher has a heart of gold that extends far beyond her circle of friends. She captains the Pismo Beach Disaster relief drive at her school to help those who were displaced by the fictitious crisis.  We think a 2021 version of Cher would be equally moved by today’s environmental crisis and would be heavily engaged in the sustainable fashion movement. Fast fashion? As if.

She’s A Talented Photographer

We think Cher would also take some incredible photos of her listings. In her matchmaking efforts, Cher hosts a photoshoot where she grabs some beautiful shots of her friend group. Including a stunning portrait of Tai using her retro Minolta camera. We know her keen eye would make her listings even more sought after.

She Loves A Vintage Piece

So, Cher would be an amazing lender, no doubt. But, would she be a ReSuit borrower too? We definitely think so. Why? Because Cher is no stranger to vintage fashion. For Tai’s first post-makeover day at school, Cher dons a vintage suede skirt according to Clueless costume designer Mona May, “this is actually a quite funky outfit for Cher because it is a suede vintage skirt that she is wearing with silver snaps in the front. It is almost a little bit 70s, with the little sweater vest and the oxford shirt.”

With her enviable wardrobe, her love of vintage fashion and her caring spirit, Cher Horowitz really is the ultimate ReSuit user. While we know we’ll never have our favourite fictional character on the app, we certainly love to dream about it. For now, we’ll settle for the next best thing: a Clueless viewing night spent lusting after Cher’s iconic 90s looks.
